2nd Reunion (Bentong Gang)

Sempena cuti perayaan tahun baru Cina (CNY) yang lepas, saya berkesempatan meluangkan masa bersama kawan-kawan lama mengadakan majlis perjumpaan bekas-bekas pelajar daerah Bentong di Rumah Rehat Bentong.

Walaupun sambutan kali ini kurang menggalakkan dari kawan2 kerana ramai yang menarik diri di saat akhir serta tidak dapat hadir pada majlis ini atas sebab-sebab peribadi, saya rasa cukup bertuah kerana dapat menjemput beberapa orang bekas guru yang pernah mengajar kami. Antaranya ialah Tn Hj Abd Aziz (bekas guru besar SRKS),Cikgu Noraziah Jaafar, Cikgu Rohani (ex-SRKS) dan Cikgu Nasir.

Kehadiran mereka amat dinanti-nantikan. Beberapa orang guru juga tidak dapat menghadiri majlis ini pada saat-saat akhir di atas sebab-sebab yang tidak dapat dielakkan.

Bagi guru-guru ini apa yang penting dan menggembirakan hati mereka tidak lain dan tidak bukan adalah melihat anak murid mereka berjaya menjadi manusia berguna dan memperolehi ilmu sehingga ke peringkat tertinggi di menara gading.. . Sesungguhnya keberkatan ilmu yang diperolehi dari guru-guru serta iringan doa mereka yang membuatkan pelajar-pelajar berjaya menjadi insan berguna.

Sedar tak sedar, rupa-rupanya sejak dari kecil lagi nilai-nilai kemanusiaan SATU MALAYSIA telah kami terapkan dalam diri sewaktu di zaman persekolahan. Mana kan tidak, kami boleh belajar dan bermain dalam kelas yang sama seperti adik-beradik, boleh mengikuti lawatan belajar bersama-sama dengan berkongsi bilik dengan kawan-kawan dari bangsa lain serta mengikuti perkhemahan dan tidur sebantal dengan kawan-kawan dari berlainan agama...

Semoga usaha ini berterusan malah menjadikan persahabatan kami lebih erat, akrab dan mesra sampai bila-bila...

SuaRasa TV9 Carnival

Special Event Program by TV9 at Tg Mas, Muar

If TV3 is synonym with “Jom Heboh” carnival, TV9, a subsidiary of Media Prima is synonym with “Suarasa TV9” carnival. Recently, TV9 held two days event of Suarasa TV9 carnival at Tg. Mas, Muar. One of their main aim is to expose and be closed to their target customers (which is mainly Malay), as their slogan is “Dekat di Hati”.

Apart of live TV recording at the venue, they also presented their TV crew, TV celebrities, TV hosts and singers. Few canopies had been put up and the crew set up the backdrop of small TV studio like Pondok-pondok, Halaqah, 999, and many more.

Besides, they also have sales carnival from private organizations like London Biscuit, Danish Cookies, Silky Girls, Fair and Lovely as well as some SMEs.

Celcom was their co-partner or co-sponsor. Therefore, one huge canopy that sell Celcom products had been set up there. They have lucky draw, goodies bag and some premium items offered to their customers.

An interesting event that took place during the two days event was eating durian competition which was organized and sponsored by FAMA and MOA. Each participant was given 5 minutes to open up and eat three durians approximately one kg each.

And of course, the climax of this event was the concert which was performed by local artistes.

It is good to have a big exposure and publicity of local brands and products. But bear in mind, is it not cheap to rent the days canopy. It can cost you as expensive as RM10,000.

Like advertising and sales promotion, public relations is a vital link in a progressive company's marketing comunication mix. Corporations or organisations are usually willing to participate in this kind of event to promote, persuade and remind their customers of their products. At the same time, they can generate more sales revenue, advertise their new and existing product in TV as well as get direct feedback and comments from their customers, despite the higher cost of rental for two days event.
