Special Event Program by TV9 at Tg Mas, Muar

If TV3 is synonym with “Jom Heboh” carnival, TV9, a subsidiary of Media Prima is synonym with “Suarasa TV9” carnival. Recently, TV9 held two days event of Suarasa TV9 carnival at Tg. Mas, Muar. One of their main aim is to expose and be closed to their target customers (which is mainly Malay), as their slogan is “Dekat di Hati”.
Apart of live TV recording at the venue, they also presented their TV crew, TV celebrities, TV hosts and singers. Few canopies had been put up and the crew set up the backdrop of small TV studio like Pondok-pondok, Halaqah, 999, and many more.
Besides, they also have sales carnival from private organizations like London Biscuit, Danish Cookies, Silky Girls, Fair and Lovely as well as some SMEs.
It is good to have a big exposure and publicity of local brands and products. But bear in mind, is it not cheap to rent the days canopy. It can cost you as expensive as RM10,000.
Celcom was their co-partner or co-sponsor. Therefore, one huge canopy that sell Celcom products had been set up there. They have lucky draw, goodies bag and some premium items offered to their customers.
An interesting event that took place during the two days event was eating durian competition which was organized and sponsored by FAMA and MOA. Each participant was given 5 minutes to open up and eat three durians approximately one kg each.
And of course, the climax of this event was the concert which was performed by local artistes.

Corporations or organisations are usually willing to participate in this kind of event to promote, persuade and remind their customers of their products. At the same time, they can generate more sales revenue, advertise their new and existing product in TV as well as get direct feedback and comments from their customers, despite the higher cost of rental for two days event.
